Hey,
Been a while scince I did either a blog update or an update on here so i thought id share on here first.
Its been a busy few weeks Ive almost done all the wiring (full custom loom) which despite being a bit fustraiting at time has been the best thing ive
done I have really enjoyed the challenge and it feels oh so good when things light up as they should.
I have new front and rear brakes (Willwood powerlight on the front and Sierra discs on the rear) im yet to finish fitting the pedal box so it will be
a while before i get arround to putting some fluid in.
My steering column has gone of to AB Performance to be turned down and have a paddle shift fitted. Service so far has been top quality very nice chap
to deal with. Ill share some pictures when it arrives
So I think my to-do list to get it finished is:
1. Get a prop and fit it
2. Get some coolant pipe. I have some 32mm ali and some of the original bike stuff so hoping its just a few joiners and reducers i need
3. Fit the exhaust (which is on its way form MNR)
4. Fit the Seats (Triton Racing very very nice bits of kit)
5. Try and start the engine for the first time :-)
once thats all dont i think its just the inevitable odds and ends e.g. trimming the boot, add a fuel filler cap etc
Heres some picts so far:
Front lights on (I think the oval work well with the new style nose cone)
Front Lights
Rear lights (SVC with carbon again top service)
rearlights
Front Suspension and Rad in
front suspension
I have used a Ford Mondeo MK2 light swich as i didnt want loads and loads of switches
light switch
First stab at the dash. the carbon has to be there as i mucked up the initial holes which was really dissapointing but its done now. There are 3
more switchs (full beam and left right to go on the tunnel for easy reach)
DashMK1
Looking good so far. When you gonna send her to the SVA men??
Im hoping to get the paperwork off in december/jan to ensure i get it all wrapped up before the IVA comes in
Looking good mate!
Very nice, had a look at the blog and looks like your doing it all to a high standard, please tell me there are some minor cracks so i feel better
about mine
Adam
Im suffering more from scuffs than cracks as the min :-) I have managed to scratch the top lip of the bonnet and dropped the nose cone :-( which
resulted in a could of scratches which will need stickers over them
All very self inflicted
Horribile when it happens isnt it. We've been keeping the body tight to the chassis before its all bolted together with bungie straps and the other week one was a bit tight and pinged onto the interior overlaping side panel piece.
