Hi, wondered what torque setting others are doing there front hub nuts upto with allumium hubs?
Cheers
Adam
I didn't torque mine up. I tightened it with a ratchet untill there was resistence in turning the hub, then loosened the nut and re-tightened the
nut lightly, made sure there was no free play and the hub turned with no resistance.
No problems so far and no play anywhere.
I don't think they need to be torqued up just tightened enough so there is no play in the hub.
Same as above, wound them up until the hub starts to bind, back off 1/3rd turn, job done.
with the wheel on and brake pads clear of the disc tighten the nut until there is the smallest amout of play possible when rocking the whel top and
bottom.
More people would see this question if it was in the suspension forum.

Cheers everyone so no torque just tight so it still spins which is probably what its at, at the moment but wanted to check
Thanks
Adam
That sounds way too tight, there should be NO preload.
If you dont beleive me repost this in the main forum, you will stand more of a chance at getting the correct information.

Like has been said, you just want it so there isn't any excess movement of the wheel
