think the cat was drawn to the colour

just a weird though, the front arches look a little funny to me, the fronts look a little straight (can't really explain, and might just be the photo) but could the be back to front?

looking good though!

Looks good, nice to see another VortX nearly on the road

i think the front arches are very long and thats why they look a bit funny,

but have to say its does look awesome

Are the photos distorted? Looks rather narrow and tall.

Don't like the front mudgauards, as they seem to cover too much of the tyre.

But the rest looks good.

thanks for the comments everyone

the front arches are supplied by MNR like that but a lot of people shorten them at the front with an angular cut

looking at the second pic looks like my NS front arch has tilted at some point - I will need to measure it when I get back in the garage

Looks good - we have those arches and they make a superb job of stopping the stone flick and rain spray.

Dont you have a problem removing the wheels... ours are a right b****rd and they are cut down from the original length.

Also, check the heel of the front arches. They might snag on some of the speed bumps we have in the uk, particularly the tall rubber ones. They will also catch on the odd immigrant when you run them over, so if you shorten them by 1 or 2" then you wont leave any evidence behind other than tyre tread marks on its forehead!

Gergely - 24/2/09 at 09:19 AM

Good job! Congrats!
I would cut the front arches at an angle as most MNR builders do - we plan to do the same soon, when we get to it...
Otherwise the car looks fantastic!

And good that you already have a cat for SVA... I see it is the throw-away-type...

I dotn have that trouble, My very low sump burns there face off!!

Looks good mate. Not a fan of them front arches being that big though. But they will be affective for sones etc. Mine flicked one right in my chest the other day. Need to sort some flaps out.

Looks good there... re the arches, I did the same at first then found the petrol station forecourt snagged the bottom and split the arch where the hole for the support is....

AND, be prepared to spend ages trying to put petrol in it with the filler cap on the back there

Good luck with SVA!

looks awsome making me want to change to black arches now

Wells - 24/2/09 at 08:13 PM

Looks great mate. Not picking faults here but you rear drivers side tyre is going in the wrong direction if that makes sence.
