have a lpook in the fuel filler on your tin top

BenB - 24/3/09 at 03:12 PM

Do you definately need it? How old is the engine that you are using?

craigt - 24/3/09 at 04:56 PM

its an 03 R1 engine

spdpug98 - 24/3/09 at 05:02 PM

Last time I spoke with Chris from MNR he said they had ordered some in, so I guess they supply with the loan kit but not 100% sure

You will need one. Its basically a washer that fits into your filler to restrict the opening to 23.6mm

Davey D - 26/3/09 at 10:37 PM

nope, it isnt in the standard fuel cap.. the cap supplied is one on CBS, and they sell the restrictor to fit it... i failed my sva on monday for not having one, so ive just got one today

bassett - 27/3/09 at 01:17 PM

Thanks for the info Dave, I guess i can try and get one tomorrow from cbs but what another let down from mnr when i need this part and information prior to the test.

Hi,
I bought my own anyway, but I thought
this was part of the sva loan kit. It does
say it's needed in the sva manual iirc.

Received mine this morning which is excellent delivery and service from CBS as i ordered it at work at 4pm yesterday. I think i need to get the filler out and put it in from behind as there is only one groove i can see that would hold the circlip.
