I made a template of where this would go and cracked on cutting the boot section, a little by little at first, but encountered one thing I hadn't measured for, that being the roll bar, so after deciding to take the corner off that was fowling it still wouldn't fit properly, I even notched out some of the rear section to make it sit in, and this did help but still would not sit down, I thought at first that the fuel return pipe was in the way, but as it turned out it was the cross member behind the seats, where the seat belt anchor points are. This is in the way, I cannot cut any further back on the tub without it being obvious that its been cut for the boot section. Has anybody else had this issuejavascript:icon('', 2 hrs of cutting and filing all for nothing, I might make a sledge out of it. I then just cracked on and made the boot tidy cover, this is made and I will cover it tomorrow possibly in vinyl or leatherette. Once my car is through its test I can if I so decide make a taylor made boot unit.
Photos would help?
This is after I cut the bits out

This cross member hits the front part of the boot box, similar angle, but its hitting it, the only option is to cut that part out, which I may
do

The top rear edge of the box needs to be trimmed down further to enable the box to sit further back towards the back panel, but it looks like you have cut way too much from the front edge already, so it will leave a gap that needs filling
For the time being I will fit the boot tidy then fabricate something later.
Why are you pointing at the two dildos?
Only in your mind are these Dildo's, if you must know, I am looking at an alternative to the Rabbit, it doesn'y vibrate though...
:-)
Could you not cut the box bit out leaving a lip and make an ali panel for the top surface.
Hi, was that a MNR boot box to start with? No chance mine would fit from the start(fuel filler hose, tank level sensor electics and roll bar and back
panel all in the way!) so i cut the back and sides off, used flat panels of fibre glass cut off from the car tub and then fibre glassed it all
together and it feels seriously strong. Its no beauty but once the top cover is on it looks pretty good and gives us lots of space - check the blog
for pics( Aug 09 and Nov 09). Good luck, i think im one of a very few that has got one fitted on the later design chassis.
