I picked up my kit at the weekend! 
big thanks to Marc and Chris for hanging around on a sunday when they should have been relaxing!
I thought the reality of what I was doing would kick in when I got the kit, but i'm strangely confident. that must mean that i'm going to
make an arse of it!

Good luck - but you wont need it. Small manageable projects and a little regularly will get you a rolling chassis in quick time. Hardest part is
working our where to start and the order to do the jobs so they dont have to be undone!
Dont be too hasty to get it on the ground - back braking!
It looks like you have a small modern garage?? That looks like a challenge. I hope you have a good shed to store the bits. Ive got a big garage but
this means that i dont have to be tidy most of the time so i have managed to fill it with disorganised rubbish!
Enjoy it. Im sure Marc and Chris will offer you lots of aftersales support. I always take my camera to Mac1 everytime im passing - it helps a lot to
have something to refer to.

yeah the garage isnt ideal, but ive kind of organised the build into stages to make use of the space.
all gardening stuff has been evicted into a shed, bodywork and wheels will be stored in the dining room until needed (much to the missus' dismay,
hehe!)
engine and other bits will be bought later.
hopefully by then it'll be rolling so i can wheel it onto the drive to do awkward bits like fitting the engine
i know what you mean about pre-planning. i've spent a day just tinkering and imagining what to do and when to do it 
Ive got a file at home full of picfs from Mac#1 and another filke with reciepts and 6 pages of 'Jobs'. Theres nothing better than having a
good days build and crossing them off the list. It also serves as a memory jogger for those days when your brain wont work (happens a lot for me!) and
you can see half a dozen little jobs to spur you on.
Like you i think through 4 or 5 jobs to see how they pan out so i can get the order right. After a while you get to the stage where you run out of
bits and realise just how much you've achieved. Then the next shoppingphase kicks in. Its a fantastic hobby. Always learning something new and
challenging your mind that bit further.

Can't imagine how pumped you are to be starting! My kit has to be ready for collection no earlier than November-ish as I'm moving and have a
few things to sort out before I can really start the build... 
Gutted that I can't begin immediately but atleast I can follow your build as a small substitute!
