All in a days work
marc n - 14/6/05 at 04:19 PM

started this morning at 8 -30 on a customers turnkey car straight from the powder coaters.
by half four in between the usual swarm of emails and phone calls i had completed the following
fuel lines ( injected car )
all brake lines
all alloy panels fitted
all interior panels fitted
pedal box fitted inc master cylinders
wiring loom positioned and fitted
fuel tank , sender and pump fitted
body work sides and back fitted

going to keep updating each day to show progress

and it now looks like this

your wasting your time gts can do it in 2 days they did it at detling our best is six days for a demo car ran all day at donnington show on the seventh

yes but did you see the amount of stuff pre assembled and preped before they even started

all the bits on the car are as they are supplied to customers ( so it is representative of a true build )

plus there is only me building it ( road legal racecar with dry sumped zx12 r ) cool:
and still awaiting the alloy billet rockers for the inboard suspension to arrive from the anodisers
:mad

yep gotta admit impossible to fit without two people ,

on the plus side it only took 30 seconds to fit ( including stopping for the camera )

Dillinger1977 - 14/6/05 at 05:56 PM

damn wish i was that quick

it'd be massively handy if you could take random closeups at obscure angles at varying points in the build

the more the merrier. doesnt matter about them being online, i can grab them off your pc next time im up

I would send you an invite to GMail, but I dont have any at the moment. You can send 10Mb attachments with that, thats quite a few pics. Also added benefits of no spam...

Car looks good, and sounds like you got a suprisingly long way in the first day!

Fantastic idea Marc! This should really help in the best order to complete the build.

Keep up the good work!

P.S. All my donor parts are painted up and reconditioned now... Just gotta wait for the date to arrive that the better half has set to start building!

Chris

P.S. I've got access to unlimited web space so if you want me to host any amount of piccies on the web for people to view, just give us a shout and I'll drop you a line with the relevant details to connect to my server and upload.

Chris.

P.P.S. Looks like the workshop's going through a few changes! What's the wooden panelling behind your Dad concealing?
