1. Is the Vortx RT+ available without the full rollcage?
Yes the vortx RT+ is available with the small road cage and an option of cobra rollover hoops
2. Is there a windscreen/hood available for the Vortx Range?
A windshield is currently in development, and it is hoped to be available during early 2006, but due to the unique shape of the Vortx scuttle, this
has proven more difficult than other cars and we wish to get it right. A hood will then follow.
3. What offset wheels should I use on my Vortx RT?
For road use ET35 (Ford) is recommended, but for track/race use we have found ET18 (Peugot) to work the best.
4. I like the look of the Vortx's Scuttle/Aero Screen, can I buy one?
The Vortx Scuttle is only available to builders of Vortx cars. This unique feature is one of the areas that distinguish the Vortx from other locost
style cars.
5. Will I need to fit a Catalyst to my car for the SVA test?
This will depend on the age of the engine fitted in your car, for a moderm BEC car the answer will be almost certainly be yes, but this is
available on loan from MNR to builders of our cars.
6. What engines can I use in my Vortx chassis?
All Vortx chassis' are car or bike engine specific, this avoids compromise and ensures that each car is structurally optimised for its weight,
and space is maximised for the smaller bike transmission. In short you can use anything from a V-Twin motorcycle engine, right the way up to a V8
should you wish. We will make sure your engine will fit before your chassis is shipped
