Marc (or anyone else able to answer my question),
I have just started the routing of my brake lines and noticed that my RT+ chassis has a brace missing, when compared to the build manual photo. The
brace in question runs from the middle of the bottom of the drivers footwell front bulkhead panel (does that make sense?) and runs forward to meet up
with the engine mount tube and the lower outer chassis tube (where they intersect), or put another way, the brace with the front master cylinder to
front 4-way t-piece brake line running along it in the build manual. Please tell me that this has been engineered out in the later chassis design and
not omitted on mine by mistake!
Could you shed any light on this?
Cheers
dont wana sound like i taking the mick but its not the steering colum is it
Also don't want to sound like I'm extracting the urine, but what sort of car runs the brake pipes along the steering column?
Anyway the column runs from the top of the bulkhead panel not from the bottom, as described.
Cheers
hi neil
dont panic, the pics in the build manual are of the mk 1 and 2 cars not like yours which is the mk 3
best regards
marc
Cheers Marc, feel better for that bit of news. Pedals are now in If I carry on at this rate, I might have the build complete just before Ford bring out their new hovering replacement for the Mk25 fiesta, capable of 720m.p.h. at an altitude of 50 feet
shortly before i finish mine then eh?
Rog,
fancy starting a Vortx owners club for octogenarians? That gives me 48 years to complete the build!!
