<BEC only>

Have you installed it in the midle of the scutle?
Anyone got pics?
Have you made a full tray or just a "U" -> like a strap?
Which thickness?
Lined interior?

Thanks,
Joao

I used a sheet of polypropylene to make a tray, heated/folded sides, and welded corners (hot air gun with small nozzle). You need something that will keep the odd drop of acid off the aluminium. The battery is retained with 25mm webbing strap, as used in Saab 93 and old shape Ford Focus (I know because my old company designed/made them!). This should be strong enough to retain it in crash. Hi Joao,

Mine is in the centre of the scuttle. I havent made the tray yet but ill use a plate of 2mm alloy covered with foam. The strap will be the same material and pop rivetted throughout.

Sorry no pics, Im away from home at the moment.

Rgds
