I saw that an owner did tap and thread the chassis to hold the brake line T pieces.

Would that hold to car's vibration?
I don't have rivnuts / tool, and and don't fancy perforating the member all the way...

I don't see why it should be a problem, if you're worried just use a bit of thread lock.
