Hi all.
I've put the gear cable as further as possible, but even so the bearing eye is not aligned with the lever moutings (in the pic, the cable is half
way of it's travel).
What am I doing wrong?
Should I cut the rodend thread? (would just gain half of what I actually need)
Thanks,
Joao

Move the gearlever stub round by one spline on the gearbox shaft?
move the gearshift arm round a few splines or move whatever holds the gear cable outer, at the gearbox end, away from the gearbox.
You should not cut the threads off the cable.
you can cut some of the threads of the bar no problem then rotate the lever on the engine end, you need about 15mm of cable travel to get the required
movement

Hi all.
Thanks for your replys. Sorry for my english, but I'll try to explain better...
As I see it, the problem is not in the gearbox side (actually, the engine isn't even there), as the problem is the position of the rodend and the
gear lever side.
In the pic, the cable is halfway of it's full travel - where it should be when resting. If I need half of it's travel to push and the other
half to pull this should be the dead center, and where the lever would be vertical.
If I put the lever now it would be inclened to the front, as the rodend passed the lever mounts.
The rodend it fully tightned but a few threads are still present. May I cut them? - even so it would half of what I need...
Joao
Thanks Marc.
I didn't saw your reply when I wrote mine...
I'll check that solution late rwhen I get home.
Thanks,
Joao
Is that a TRT under the clutch cable Joao?
Or is that usually in the rear of the propshaft?
Chris.
I must confess that I donno...
Just ordered a regular 2 piece prop....
