RT+ wheels and spacers

I've found a set of wheels that I want to put on the car, the only problem is they are et35. Can I use a 17 mm spacer to take them to et18 or am I going the wrong way?

I think that the et number is the distance between the centre line of the wheel and the mounting face. ET 35 means that the mounting face is 35mm outward from the centre of the wheel.

If your hubs / brakes are ET 18 then you need a 17mm spacer or your wheels will to too close to the car.

I have Et38 wheels (15,195's)on a rt plus, they are close to the car and suspension, but dont rub!

but marc said they would be ok and i had the ok from a few guys on here! will this give me a problem in the future!
