Took the car out for a spin today and decided to show off a bit... There are some cool roundabouts near me where all the car modders hang out, so I
thought I would give them some BEC second gear drifting to watch....
Had a friend with me in the passenger seat, she was a little nervous (I love it when they scream lol )...
Anyway, to cut a long story short, a quick lift is enuff to kick the back out, then a good hard kick of the loud pedal puts it nicely sideways with an
amazing ability to steer on the throttle...
It was a contest to see whether I could hold the slide longer than the girl could hold the scream...
YEAH BABY

i cant wait to do that! i might give it a try in one of the company motors tomorrow, maybe the kia picanto
Do tell...
Who won the contest?
My moneys on the screamer ....
Cheers
Richard
TBH it would be hard to beat a girl at screaming on just one roundabout...
So yes I lost, but I was still a winner...
so those sierra lsd s are good for something then
Yeah, they are okay for that... but something is clicking when I go around right hand bends or roundabouts...
Need to fathom that out...
could be a cv joint ????? or a wheel bearing, but seing as the latter are new would say more likely a cv joint, is it worse under load ???
Yes it seems worse under load, and I think it is a CV joint...
Looks like the easiest repair will be a replacement half shaft...
Thats second hand diffs for you eh

No these shafts came with the diff your dad collected for me...
Its no worries if its a cv joint, the clicking isnt bad, I am sure it will alst a while yet

Looks like the cossie CV joints run about £75 a pop...
If I can work out which one is shot, then should be an ok fix
