Looking to build a Vortx, just seen the build manual on the website, does anyone have the password they could U2U to me.

The password is only given to you once you buy a kit, this is to stop other manufacturers who do not have a manual using it as a basis to make their own.
Check with MNR, they are very strict about this & I can't blame them as a lot of work went into making the manual

Hope that isn't the case. I want to see what the build manual is like prior to buying the kit to see what it's like...

I'm not entirely sure this is the case. If you show enough interest in the VortX I'm sure Marc wouldn't mind giving you the password.

To be honest the build manual is much more of a rough guide anyway. The product is developing so quickly that quite a few of the piccies are out of date anyway...

Phone Marc or drop him a line if you're interested? They're very helpful over there.

Chris.

Having looked through the manual for my (pre-built) Tiger it isn't going to give you the detail to assess the process of building. Things like the steering and front suspension only cover a few pages in the Tiger manual I have. It's enough when you have all the bits in front of you, but it isn't like a Haynes manual.

I also think Tiger charge for their manuals on top of the kit (though I could be wrong on that one) and of course other manufacturers may go into more detail, but not as much as you can glean from build diaries and this forum.

charging for a manual is just plain stoopid, you should just get one.

like powder coating , i see it as you will require it so it should come in the kit.

and you do with MNR!

When i payed my deposit i got a manual, so i could browse it, only used for first half of build, then just plodded on!

Is it just me or do others find this anally retentive?

No. Standard across the industry. Kit cost includes the build manual, you can usually pay £5-£10 to get it without the kit but refunded if you buy.

the manual we have at the moment is 128 pages with a further 30 supplimentry pages to cover different installations etc, and hope fully in the next two months they will grow even further, we are already getting rewarded for our hard work by the few build queries we get, although thanks to the forum here and questions we have had it has shown us where more detail needs to be gone into for better clarification and ease of build,

we have already invested 500 hours plus in manual to make it what it is and its still not where i want it to be

so i do feel agrieved about sending this info for all and sundry to use just because there manufacturer cant be arsed to do a proper manual

plus we dont charge ( why should we make it hard for people to build our car ???? )

rant over

best regards

marc
