March?! You will have no fingernails by then

Winston Todge - 2/12/06 at 08:44 AM

What's the spec and intended use then!?

Have fun waiting for it! Time to sort the garage out and tools ready for action...

Chris.

Mine took 2 weeks

i'll hopefully get mine built in about 2 weeks and that'll involve working too. the thing i'm doing different to every other time i've built one, is this time i'm getting the majority of parts in the garage before the kit arrives, instead of waiting weeks for specials to arrive.

agreed
thats the key having all the parts to hand cleaned / part assembled ready to fit in assemblies.

numnuts - 2/12/06 at 06:34 PM

Nice to see another one in essex all the best Dion

GeorgeM - 2/12/06 at 09:26 PM

thanks all
1st time build so i don't expect to finish in 2 weeks! but i hope to be on the road late summer.
Power is R1 injection, and i'll use it any time I can (even for shopping) hopefully the odd track day as well.
March seems a long way off, but i've plenty to do before build.

amalyos - 2/12/06 at 09:43 PM

Great news George, you won't regret it.
Give me a call if you need any help when you get it.

Steve

GeorgeM - 2/12/06 at 10:07 PM

thanks Steve

Agriv8 - 4/12/06 at 04:12 PM

well done.

Wont be disapointed drove mine home from Marc's on Saturday got soaked through, Smile on my face all the way home ( apart from the grimace when I had the 4 wheel drift ) Quick rack saved the day again !!!

Oh the smile was removed by SWIMBO stating that I was 3 hours late and that as a forfit had to pay for the Saturday Take away.Worth every penny though .

Regards

Agriv8

Don't know how sad this is, but while sitting at work today I worked out that i've got 86 more days to wait till March

TimC - 4/12/06 at 09:47 PM

59 for me!

GeorgeM - 4/12/06 at 09:57 PM

does posting twice halve the wait or double it

GeorgeM - 6/12/06 at 10:44 PM

With all these orders flooding in to MNR is Marc going to have any time to race?
Is it true that the dogs are being trained to weld?

GeorgeM - 24/1/07 at 11:18 PM

Happy days, my collection date has been moved forward 2 weeks!!
I now get my box of bits on 24th Feb - even better, ITS MY BIRTHDAY
good present eh?

worX - 24/1/07 at 11:31 PM

That will be a great Bday present!
I spent mine (Dec19th) outside in the cold/wet building my car and loving every second of it!!!

but as above, don't wait for anything - get absolutely everything as prepared as you can do. You will enjoy it a damn sight more with clean prepared parts to hand!

all the best.

My collection date was the weekend of my 30th birthday, I was told to move it

TimC - 25/1/07 at 08:42 AM

7 days to go - at the moment my biggest concern is that the garage floor will still be wet.

GeorgeM - 25/1/07 at 09:53 PM

garage is ready, tools waiting, just need to finish checking the brakes
on our frogeye sprite and quick service, then ready to go!!
suppose i'd better get a van booked
