Its nice to see the very expensive 'Chameleon paint system' working

either that or the

the clingon cloaking device is swited on.

( the 750 MC ruled dont state that these cant be used )

I can here the cries of 'what hit me' already.

Can you get them in bright orange?

procomp - 17/1/07 at 01:04 PM

Hi

( the 750 MC ruled dont state that these cant be used )

They do however state that you cant use rosejoints on the suspension which seems to be fitted to the car on the stand.

cheers matt

the 750 MC rules actually state that klingon cloaking devices cannot be used?

coozer - 17/1/07 at 01:17 PM

Thats the couler scheme I choose for mine BUT, I still don't like the front and it's not growing on me!

Whats the chances of having the old style nose with the grill moulded in?

procomp - 17/1/07 at 01:24 PM

Hi i think you will find that they acctually state that you cant use shperical joints and an explenation of that is then given in the rules for kit cars.

cheers matt

Mat quite right best explain ( hope I have this right )

I belive Marc can run these in class C RGB
( its his car on the stand not Mathews - the Whitch Kit stickers were to keep said magazine 'Sweet' )

Mathew has to run Traditional rubber bushes in the 'whitch kit class '

Oh and Mathew has to run a full cage due to the > 2000 cc rule

Do I pass my anorack exam ?

Hi AHHH i see they were not using a kit car to represent kitcars at the show but an rgb car is that right .

Sorry for the confusion as i didnt bother to go this year to busy and nothing new to see or buy so gave it a miss in favour of the historic show at stonlighe.

Although i bet that didn't go down well with the club.

cheers matt

procomp - 17/1/07 at 01:57 PM

Hi ANORACK award is in the post. .

Guess the procomp boys are feeling the pressure...

David Jenkins - 17/1/07 at 02:31 PM

Re the nosecone - I wonder if it looks better in the flesh?

I have seen pictures of cars that look fabulous, but are disappointing when seen 'live'. Other times, I've seen pictures that make a car look lumpy and ugly, but in real life the car's been a stunner.

It's certainly practical - the way the sides cover the suspension joints, and the ready-made grille all make SVA easier.

Maybe I'll reserve judgement until I see it at a show...

David

coozer - 17/1/07 at 06:27 PM

I've seen it in the flesh and in various pictures posted here. It's not to my taste in either.

millemg - 17/1/07 at 07:40 PM

The new design looks even better in the flesh.!!!

I know nothing about the 750 series, but it looks like some people are stuck in the past, scared of change, and are worried they might get their arses kicked

I may be barking up the wrong tree, but surely the rgb series is run by the 750mc anyway, so its entirely normal for an rgb car to be on the stand?

Agriv8 - 17/1/07 at 08:32 PM

Now Now everyone lets calm down and keep it civil.

I can understand Mat's concern from the photo's they are misleading if you knew that 'Which Kit ' sponser the Kit car class.

And commenting on the racing I will leave that until some racing has been done. Remeber that MNR are up against cars and teams that have car setup data learning as they go. This in MY opininon is almost as important as driver talent.

Anyway met some of our fellow 750 racers and enjoyed the whole experience.

Anyway forget the Hairdryer RGB'ers had a sneak at the MNR V8 'Which kit' racer.
Oh yes that more like it .

Surly it a better image for the 750 club to show a completed finished cars ( read not rushed to get it on the stand ) the V8 could have been ready but the race engine was delayed by the customers engine supplier.

Agriv8

Hi Oh c.mon i looked at the picture saw the sighn on top saying it was a kitcar then saw the rose jointed suspension and thought have they misread the regs or somthing. As agriv8 then pointed out that the cage would not be suitable for a car of over 2.0L so i should have worked out that it was not matts V8.

Hence his anorak award.

Hi think that i should point out that all manufacturers are made to feel welcome in the 750mc as the more the merrier and all competitors want to see more cars on the grid regardless of manufacturer.

Regarding the feeling the pressure comment non at all it really would be nice if we could get some more westfield in as well then there could be some real fun with wetfields/raw strikers/mnr/st phenoix's&phazer''s/dax's/fisher furry's/procomp LA's /ECT

It would make it a real rolling show case for kit manufacturers and the industry to show that thier cars can do what they say it dose in pr they hand out.

Anyhow i wish matt lewis and mnr good look with the 2007 season and after just reading marcs post about the flood i also hope he can get that sorted without to much trouble also.

cheers matt

Cheers matt.

I am looking forward to getting back into the race spannering again ( I will likley be spannering for MNR on the races I can get to when the Day job and wife does not get in the way ).

I agree it would nice to get as many diferent Manufacturesrs involved.

When time allows will catch up over a coffee / beer depending on the time of day and swap some tall racing stories.

Sorry Matt

was just humour on my part, and I know you have had a lot of success in the championships...

I knew there was no malice in your comments and it was just helpful advice..

Good luck in 2007 to you all

TimC - 18/1/07 at 11:52 AM

In all seriousness, the Kit Car Championship looks to be pretty good this year... Raw have a two 'team cars,' Procomp have been rebuilding and Mr Lewis has given up the Razer for the MNR. I'm possibly going to extend my viewing beyond Pembrey!

procomp - 18/1/07 at 12:58 PM

Hi tim c are you shure you cant be temted to take that silly engine out and put a real engine in. You could join in the fun then..
Although i supose there is RGB for you with marc.

Glad we can have a bit of banter .

cheers matt

Can't Matt - sperical joints not allowed.

Car won't be eligible for RGB either with trickshifter, no lights, handbrake etc.

Hillclimbs & Sprints for me - also have one eye on Welsh Sports & Saloons Championship.
