Got the R1 Motor in yesterday, any tips before I continue ?
Which radiator do I need, I think VW polo was mentioned somewhere, if so, which one ?
SVA OK ?
I'd turn them pipes down as scallys will be putting coke cans in them!
You just need an ali rad that will fit under the nose. I think that MNR are fairly cheap for the polo rad. I'd get mark to bend you up some
stainless water pipes as well as this makes it easier and neater.
Looking good by the way.

ahh powdercoating that hasnt yet been dinged and scratched.. and not a fine layer of 'wotsits' orange dust anywhere.. I remember that
(just)
it'll not last long!
polo rad in mine IIRC
Have you fitted the propshaft? Make sure you do that first. I have to lift the rear of the engine slightly to get the propshaft on.
I have an MNR supplied Polo rad. IMO it is a bit too big, which is probably fine for racing but on the road on colder days, it is a bit much.
looking good
i would fit propshaft, diff, trial fit interior panel, finish cooling system, then fit bodywork main section
just building one of five turnkey cars we have going out in the next few weeks, so far taken me 3 days 9 till 5 including answering phone and emails
and all ive got left is fit front and rear arches, fit seats, fit boot cover and final setup, still the longest part of it all was routing the brake
pipes etc neatly,
which im now going to programme the machine so all the wholes are pre drilled for fuel, and brake lines and wiring loom
best regards
marc
