Old nose is definitely nicer than the new one. to each his own I guess.

there is the option of either, so you can still have the more traditional look or on steroids look

jos - 8/6/07 at 06:22 PM

i really like the new nose

shades - 8/6/07 at 06:34 PM

second vote for the new nose

big_wasa - 8/6/07 at 06:40 PM

Third for the new nose

worX - 8/6/07 at 06:40 PM

OLD NOSE, sorry for shouting - I feel that strongly!

Steve

donut - 8/6/07 at 06:42 PM

The new nose in my opinion looks really ugly. The old one looks dead right.

But as they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

UncleFista - 8/6/07 at 07:03 PM

A couple of weeks ago, it would have been another vote for the old nose from me, but the more I see the new 'un, the more I like it

Another vote for the new one here...

arrybradbury - 8/6/07 at 07:03 PM

New nose

Edit to say both cars look stunning though!

Marlon - 8/6/07 at 07:31 PM

I have the exact same views as unclefista.
The cars both look stunning and new nose has definately grown on me, gets my vote.

john.

I take it the Drivers seat is on Runners, is it Marc?

Steve

RichieW - 8/6/07 at 08:36 PM

New nose for me too.
I like the flared sides.
Are they cosmetic or do they actually help reduce wind resistance against the steering arms and wishbones?

worX - 8/6/07 at 08:49 PM

I thought the flaired sides were just to keep the nosey SVA man out of the front wishbone pickup points, but I could be wrong!

Think there are Three reasons.
1 ) as you say deflects air round the steering arms cant do much harm.
2 ) keep the SVA man's dome away from some of those dificult bits to cover.
3 ) the rear of the nose cone can be removed to vent / pull hot air from the back of the radiator this must help keep the under bonnet temps down

JoelP - 8/6/07 at 09:11 PM

i like them both. I think id pick the new one myself, but really, the more the merrier. Helps make the car unique! Id probably get a spare one if they let me and get a friend to modify it.

RichieW - 8/6/07 at 09:16 PM

Bit of a thread highjack but does anyone do a really snarly open mouthed nose cone?

I have seen lots of pictures of sevens lined up at car shows and a lot of them the open "faces" look a bit small and "pouty" for want of a better word.

I think I am after something that looks like it might chew on the bumper of the car in front. I guess the drag would be worse but maybe the radiator cooling may improve a little.....

Just thinking aloud.

RK - 9/6/07 at 12:37 AM

Will you sell the new nose to a Canadian???? I'm in for it's uniqueness.

Gergely - 11/6/07 at 01:02 PM

I love it! The new one gets my vote. It looks better from some angles than others though...

What RAL colour is the new car? Very nice!
Gergely

JoelP - 14/6/07 at 06:19 PM

Dillinger1977 - 12/8/07 at 09:38 AM

those seats are indeed 'the dogs danglies' !

David Jenkins - 12/8/07 at 09:52 AM

The new nose doesn't photograph too well (although it ain't bad in these photos). It looks a lot better in real life!

Still prefer the old one though...

neilj37 - 12/8/07 at 10:00 AM

I do like those seats, anybody know what they are or where from ??

TimC - 12/8/07 at 11:06 AM

I think they're MNR's fibreglass seats which have been trimmed. Very nice.

Johneturbo - 12/8/07 at 12:28 PM

I'm deffo an old nose kinda guy
are they both the same colour in the pics, as the orange looks real pearlescenty

marc n - 12/8/07 at 03:55 PM

cars are different colours, the traditional nose car is a more pastel orange, than the new style nose car, think the ral colours are ral2004 new style nose and ral2003 old style nose

seats in the car are our grp ones that have been specially trimmed in alacantara by a chap jay knows

cheers

marc

Peteff - 12/8/07 at 04:34 PM

You sent them abroad for trimming, how flash is that? The new nose car looks like a red in some light like the old Cinnabar red used on Minis which was always described on my MOT as orange no matter how often I told Dennis the tester. It looks lower to the ground than the other car as well.
