Hi All
After spending a couple of months getting my garage into order I've finally started trying to build my kit!
Couple of questions at the first couple of hurdles though
1. New style chasis, RT Inboard, where do I mount the brake pipe t pieces? The chassis doesn't match the manual, probably moved on since then so
just wondering what others have done.
2. Manual recommends using a rivnut to secure the t pieces. Anyone done this? If so what size rivnut should I use?
Pictures would be nice if anyone has them.
Thanks
Here's what I did at the front. I made a bracket from ali and bolted the T-piece to it.

Here's where I put the rear T-piece. I have used a rivnut, I can't remember wether it is 5 or 6mm. You could also just drill and tap the
chassis if you do not have rivnuts.
I have lots of photo's in my archive.

Thanks Stuart, Thats excellent!
I've done pretty much as you've done on the rear setup. But I've been looking at positioning the fuel tank, do your rear lines intefere with the position of the fuel tank?
Yes the fuel tank would have sat on top of the brake lines so I raised the fuel tank by 1/2 inch.
Here's a pic. I used black nylon/plastic bolted to the mountings.

Off topic but got to ask why where the steering rack bolts on why Psaleh's chassis has the MNR logo cut out and StuartG's doesnt?
Psaleh's chassis looks to be an older version. That's my guess.
Marc would be able to tell you.
The one at the top of the post is the Escort rack version ( as it is quick rack ver out of the box ) rather than shortened sierra.
I belive the escort item is now 'Standard'
