Progress, YES!
coozer - 17/4/08 at 06:33 PM

My build has fallen together the last few weeks since I booked a trackday. It has given me the necessary push and I've spent all weekend and every night in the garage for the last 3 weeks!

Its the trimming and finer details that I'm finding very time consuming. Not difficult but will be on show so extra care taken.

I've got a track day booked Monday and after a successful campaign will be posting my SVA application on the way home

Check my blog out below for the latest update.

Great progress recently Steve. Cant wait to get ours on a track also. How much did the R1 mirrors set you back?

Mirrors were £47.

Looking good steve,
thats a very neat job on that rear cover,
as i know how tricky that job is, i've been putting that job off for ages!
i like the access hatch, how will you fix the middle section?

also who are you doing the trackday with,
as i know some don't like open wheeled cars, just a thought.

Great Job Steve! Conversely work is ridiculous so I've had no time in the garage. Was hoping to take the car to Stoneleigh - that's now out. Gawd only knows when 'Gulfie' will hit the track!

Looking good - Don't know about you, but I was really surprised how well mine runs on the bike carbs.

Got to get to the bottom of my noisy Zetec now!

Was thinking about a piano hinge at the front and some little cam locks to secure it at the back. B&Q have different length hinges that should do the job.

I might make some temporary wings out of some sheet. They do allow open wheels at Teeside but if it rains... and I don't want debris flying up in me face!
