I need a few odds and sods for my build, namely certain size nuts and bolts amongst a few other bits, found the various bits I wanted on merlinmotorsport, total value about £7. Shipping? £8.25!! It's the same with demon tweeks to.

I know I will be told to source them from a local hardware store or similar, but I don't know of a suitable store locally and I work long hours (8am to 7pm) 6 days a week currently so I don't have time to go during expected opening hours even if I did know of one.

Looks like I'm going to have to wait untill I'm ready to order air filter and a few other bits to make the carriage worthwhile.

Give these guys a go, local to me and have all the nuts and bolts etc you should need!
Don't think they charge too much for postage....

Ebay?

Ask on here?

If I had them in the shed, I'd stick them in an enveolpe at cost

Thanks pekwah, will have a look.

Loggyboy, have tried eBay but am never sure on the quality of them untill they get to the point where it's cheaper to go to merlin!

Indykid, all honesty I hadn't considered that option for bits like these, particularly what I'm after is 2 harness eye bolts (7/16unf thread) 4x7/16 unf bolts, 8x7/16unf nyloc nuts and 16x7/16id washers

To the OP, have you tried ringing them to explain, I had the same a few months back with some bits I needed from Car Builder Solutions, cost of goods £2.30 - cost of postage £5 !!!!. A phone call got them posted for the cost of a first class stamp. Arrived the next day as well..

As above, give them a ring. It's just their online postage system thats a bit rubbish.

Dont be too affraid of ebay quality, I would expect they are from the sames sources as Demon and merlin!
Not sure what your after exactly, but boltmeup is a great value seller on ebay for general bolts and such.
