I have a good idea of something as well.

Just trying to see how it can be done.

Anyone know hardwaring is carbon fibre if it is not made into a panel? I mean, can you leave it as a cloth so you can bend a corner os something?

Cheers mike, i'll see what they say.

The part itself is for my XRay 808 nitro buggy, I want some parts making in CF to save weight and be of better design that the original.
If i get it right i'm pretty damn sure that a lot of buggy racers would be interested.

Well thats handy, they already do lots of model car stuff

Remember there are different types of CF.
Hand lay up will give you the look of CF with similar strength and weight as fibreglass. You could do this yourself in your shed.

Engineered CF using pre-preg and autoclaves is when you get high strength, light weight composites. Thats what 'real' carbon fibre is and thats what costs a lot of money and thats why most people think.... 'carbon is strong, carbon is expensive'.

Martin Hansell used to race 'dinks' years ago, hence the connection.

Might be worth checking that the parts arent already available in CF elsewhere, save you the hassle.
