Driveshaft, where to get shaft made ?
The Knobs - 9/8/10 at 10:02 AM

Anyone know the best place to get single piece driveshafts made as one of my Striker cut and shut ones has failed ? Rang Reco-Prop but they just get a third party to make them anyway.

And when you've winced at the price, try Martin Keenan, he knows someone who does them a lot cheaper.

I used Dave Mac Propshafts for the shafts on my Mojo. Very nice bloke to deal with, www.davemacprops.com

Bailey Morris on the A1 at St Neots / Eaton Socon.

All they do is probshafts, anything from a model engine to a 50 ton truck!

Not the cheapest but Excellent quality.

Several years ago but i got mine from here: http://www.autoprop-uk.co.uk/

IIRC it was about £170 delivered for a TRT prop for my BEC

spoken to Dave Mac and should be able to sort me out, thanks for the quick replies

MikeR - 9/8/10 at 03:15 PM

errr - he wants a drive shaft, not a prop shaft (Dave Mac does props and drive shafts).

Berrisford isnot that expensive. They made me some for abot 90 ish a side. (about a year ago)

MikeR - 9/8/10 at 08:44 PM

Hmm, two years ago berrisford refused to make the cheap ones as they only broke and people came back complaining.

(his words)

despite asking if it could be a one off job he still refused.
