ZETEC COOLING SYSTEM DIAGRAM
Dooey99 - 27/12/12 at 06:41 PM

After Searching high and low for a decent Zetec cooling diagram, i gave up. i ended up making it up and using trial and error trying to find the best way to arrange the hoses and so on. this is what i finally came up with, my engine is a 1.8 zetec black top but this should work for any zetec engine, there is no need to change the water pump so it pumps the other way leave it with a standard pump.

Save yourself some hose and just blank the top rad small outlet that's what I did and works fine.

what rad are you using..

obviously not polo as the outlets are on different sides..

I'm using an escort mk2 rad and just leaving the radiator cap on and sealing it properly.

My car has been plumbed like that for a few years with no problem, but people seem to think that you need 2 separate hoses for some unknown reason.

My diagram is about 1/2 way down this tread and was kindly posted for me by Lewis.
