Finished MNR - Pre SVA opinions please
Hi, Other than a few little bits like the mnr loan kit the car is finally assembled. I've added some pics and i hope other builders who've
been through sva can point out any potential problems i have.
All comments welcome.
im planning during this week making a bumper bar for the front with front indicator that will hopefully prevent radius testing of the front suspension
which mnr might supply. It will also have a cat and hopefully some heat wrap tied in place. And finally a boot box lid.
Thanks in advance
Adam

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Are your front brake hose OK? ie not touching lock ot lock and where they need the body need to be fastened to the chassis...
Nut covers on the battery terminals and some edge trim round the harness brackets??
Bottom of the dash will need some soft trim to make the 19mm radius as well.
And whys your roll bar not as high as mine
Good luck with the dept of Vosa...

Fog light needs to at least 100mm away from stop light.
Put some spiral wrap on your braided front brake hoses.
Good quaility build, by the way!
Why do they call Port Harcourt "The Garden City"?...... Becauase they can't spell Stramash.

I think it's only for "normal" cars where the mirrors stick out beyond the overall edge. For sevens this would be a line from the
outside of the front arch topthe outside of the rear arch, so should be OK.
However, the base of the side mirrors looks like it might be a bit too sharp radius-wise - a bit difficult to see from the pics, but worth a check.
Good luck
Simon

Thanks guys keep them comming. A few of the points mentioned i have stuff for ie seat belt trims, terminal covers although enormous ones.
Brake hoses are attached to the chassis after they enter through body so i hope thats ok.
Do mirrors need to fold in as they dont come out as far as the arch?
Il check fog is away from brake - never checked though.
Not sure what i can do with seat belts as they do go up to the seat, its been mentioned before but they are bolted straight to the floor with only
spacers to clear the chassis rail. any ideas what i can do?
Steve this is our second chassis as first one had giant man sized roll bar being a shortish man 5"10 and as requested at order mnr took it back
and gave us a new one still within safe limits though even with helmet on measured to front of chassis.
is there anyway to get fog light vertical?
Thanks for all comments so far. New problem arisen though - car no longer starts why me!

Looks good Adam
If your seats are bolted to the floor with only clearance for the chassis then it should be fine.
maybe the pic angle makes it look worse than it is
a strap for the battery needed too.
edited ie foglight add some u trim on the upper part of the housing to get it more vertical

nice car.
regarding the seats, mine were the very same.
what i did was 30mm spacer at the front and nothing at the back, this will get it right although you will have to play around with position to miss the
diagonal rail.
ps. mine have sliders aswell.
if you dont have sliders then its the same idea you may have to go with something like a small spacer at the back and 25 to 30mm taller at the front.

To get the fog light vertical get some 6mm coolant hose and put between the carbon surround and the body then you can tighten up until the light it
vertical

Thanks again everyone. So for the rear lights have they all got to be vertical or just the fog light. doesnt sound too difficult with the above
suggestions.
Seat on the other hand il try and angle the spacers. Should i try and raise the mounting hole with some washers or would this make it more unstable
with less threads from the testers point of view?
Cheers
