the kits are pretty modular so you should be able to negotiate with MNR on where you want to deviate or source alternate parts.

If you are on a budget and are not racing do you need the fully adjustable or inboard suspension?

Give Chris a call...

Don't discout the others such as MK too. Best bet is to take a day off work and go to the factories and have a snoop around and maybe blag a test drive/ride.

have you been in both yet?

Is loaction to the company a factor for support, parts, etc?

How busy are both companies?

i think costs for both seem to be roughly the same from what little i know of MAC's

what sort of engine power are you looking into having?

what type of driving do you envisage doing. Track days, hillclimbs, road, racing, etc.

Will weather gear be required later?

just a few quick q's for you to ponder. might be useful or not.

Will you be driving alone a lot or other half wanting to drive it (mine isnt too keen on driving the BEC with paddle shift)

I have just finished my RT+ and the 2 manufacturers I had at the top of my list before ordering where MNR & MK

I eventually went with MNR as they could provide me all the parts as new, whereas MK at the time only did donor packs which inculded all of the donor items, but they where in the state that they came of the cars! I am not sure if that is still the case

Feel free to u2u me if you have any specific questions

location isnt a massive issue as i have alot of support from some very qualified friends and anthing else hopefully will just be calls and emails. i can travel to and from for parts etc.

its really just something i wanted to do build my own car want it fast great handling be able to to have it as a project after getting it on the road.

its mainly going to be for sunny days back roads and some trackdays however i know i wont be able to resist taking it out in all weather.

my girlfriend loves quick cars so be bit of both. it's all very usefull for me as its getting to decision time.

thanks for the replys

you say you want to do it as cheap as possible, just remember, take your budget, you'll probabally end up doubling it...
i think my original budget was like £3k many years ago, i'm at least double that now and still a way to go yet...

yep, sounds about right.
dont forget the cost of IVA, registration, tax and insurance at the end of build.

you can save money on downsizing wheel and tyre choice from say 15 inch to 13's.
just as an example!

it gets addictive, led lights or normals,
carbon fibre or gel coat bits
etc etc

brightwork adds a lot to the cost.

10k would get you a very nice spec indeed.

hopefully the MAC guys will give you some info too
