Rear Diffuser Fittng
Hi all just received my mnr rear diffuser today and hoping to get it fitted over the weekend. Can any advise on how they fitted there's?
I know the metal strip rivets to the underside of the car to allow to the diffuser to fit into but whats the best way to hold the other edge up. Needs
to be strong enough to hold it firmly in place but at the same time be easy to remove for maintenance etc.
If anyone has pics of how they fitted there's that would also be good.
Cheers.

Inside the wheel arch, just about 2" in just above the chassis rail. I put one M6 rivnut on each side. Big washer under the bolt head and it
holds it lovely. Don't even need to jack it up to remove or fit.

Going to sound daft here but I've no experience of rivnuts.
Did you fit the rivnut through the chassis or only through the fibreglass side panel of the car? If through the side panel how do you stop the rivnut
from turning when trying to fit the bolt into it, or do they bite Into it to prevent turning.
Just no experience of rivnuts and no places in my local town seem to stock them.

I put the riv nuts in the fibreglass panel rather than the chassis tube. Due to the downwards loading the fibreglass is adequately strong enough. The
ones I used are splined and pull them selves up as the name suggests - like a rivet. I had similar supply issues - a company called make ends meet do
the best tool I've found and also supply the inserts.

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Now got this fitted, at the expense of a pair of rear arches :-(
I've fitted it as suggested with with 1 m6 rivnut on each side as far back as I can go before hitting the chassis tube. The fit is ok, but the
diffuser seems to sag a little in the middle leaving a small gap. Anyone else had this issue and if so how did you resolve it?
I'll post up a wee pic of how it's looking so far.
