What bits do I need?

I started picking a few bits and peices here and there, preparing my stockpile of bits before i order the kit. I've finally settled for the Busa engine option, and i want to use the Bike's clocks too.

So out of the bike i need what .. Engine (duh!?!), Loom and ECU. I suppose i need the Sub-loom to get the clocks wired up too.

Fuel pump ... I found out the busa unit is a cute little peice of kit, with an built im fuel level sender, that hooks up to the gauge on the bike's cluster. Can i get that pump fitted in the MNR tank?

As for the Diff ... will a diff out of a Sierra diesel do the job? 3.16 i think.

For the busa you either want a 3.38 or a 3.14. I'd aim for the 3.14 if you can find one as they are a rare beasty

Will you order the donnor stuff from MNR?
What kit will you order? Different kits have different parts included.

HI Joao ... i'm trying to get a few bits locally, and down to work refurbishing them. To keep me busy until i get down to ordering the kit. It will definately be an RT, poly bushes are nicer on crap maltese roads.

Still trying to figure out which sierra models had the longer diff that i need for the Busa. What about the freelander?

Hi.
Probably a few more than this, but that's what I remember:
Diff, half shafts, handbrake, rear brake assembly, steering column - needs modification; possibly central mirror too.

I'm using a drum donnor with MNR adaptor plate to use discs, as its lighter than the discs version.

Your favorite donnor might be the 2.3 Diesel...

Here is some info I've gathered (probably right, but not sure)

Diffs
=====
. Size
Sierra 1.6, 1.8, 2.0 have a standard 7” diff
Sierra XRi and XR4x4i have a 7” LSD
Sierra Cosworth 2wd and 4wd have a 7.5” LSD

. Ratio
1.8 TD 3.38
2.3 D 3.14

Brakes
======
. Rear Discs
XR4i [Later > 83]
XR4x4i
All 7.5" Diffs

The 1.8td doesn't always have the 3.38
It works as a guide but the 2.3 diesel will have either the 3.38 or the 3.14

My 3.38 came from a 2.3 diesel. My 3.14 came from a 2.0l estate!

Forgot to mention that the later models seem to be assembled of whatever was left in the assembly plant, so the list is not to be trusted blindly...
