Fitting the rear cover

Guys,

I can't see anything in the build manual on how to fit the cover that goes over the fuel tank area.

Does anyone have any close up pictures of it so I can figure out how to fit it?

Measure, Measure then measure it again.

the rear cover should have the curve cut to fit to the lip of the tub.

measure where your holes for the cage stays need to be. 1 slot from each of the holes to the edge. sculp arround the the roll hoop with dremmel / saw

the front edge may need trimming where the 'behind seat ' pannel meets it.

two option for the join use the same rubber as the tub to wheel arch.

OR

B and Q trade do a 2m length of 20 x 20 L section in black plastic. ( normal B and Q do it but ussualy only a 1m lengths you need approx 1m10cm ) makes a neat job.

Atach the ABS with self tapers ( the number plate type with the black covers ) are good . Just in case you ever need to get in

will see if i can find some pics later

Thats how i did it anyhow.

Regards

Thanks Iain,

I would use the Dremel but it gave up last night

I'll make sure that when I measure and measure again, I measure from the right place!

Careful measuring....

Though you can do:

1) Measure
2) Cut
3) Discard
4) Repeat

You could make a card template

I did for a couple of the panels. The Abs is pliable but after taking on and of 5 or 6 times can get a little wearing.
