Vortex R1 gear shift cable
Is there any off the shelf cable which would fit an R1 vortex, or is Speedy cables the only option?
The gear shifting is done from the transmission tunnel on mine.
Cheers

I gave up with cables and went to rods.
Fed up with the cable snapping, the feel is so much more positive with the rods.

MNR do a cable, heavy duty, specifically for this application.

Cheers gents. It would probably be easiest to get an MNR replacement but rods sounds WAY more up my street as the cable has been spongy for a while.
Chockymonster, how do I find out more?
PS This could be big!

Are you sticking with the stick or going to paddle?
You'll need a bell crank to change the forward/backward motion into an up/down
2 rods with rod ends at each end.
I used 8mm stainless rod with M8 rod ends.
I'll dig out the camera and take some pics of my setup but it's for a paddle.

Try to come to Llandow on Saturday afternoon. I'll introduce you to Lenny who has made his own (very impressive) rod-change. He's also
local and the nicest bloke you could ever wish to meet so his car would be a useful reference.

Chocky, any photos would be much appreciated as a good starting point. Do you need my e-mail? Big holes and a nice stick exist so would prefer to
stick with it for now.
Tim, I was planning to try and get out to Llandow as I am on standby if there are any non-showers or breakdowns, that said I don't have many
brownie points left!!
