New MNR bodywork - How much taller?

Hi Chaps

Just thinking about the air filter for my car. I know that the Pipercross filter was righhhhhhht up against the bonnet on the old bodywork. How much extra clearance does the new set-up give?

I belive an inch has been added to the side pannel hight.

newer cars such as yours will have a clearance of 15 - 20 mm with an offset airfilter base plate which i now have a programme for

So if I send you my base-plate you can cut it to suit on the plasma machine? That would be another time consuming job saved. I'm at the stage where I'm happy to pay to save time!

The Mother in Law (as good as) is going to be so chuffed when I ask her to post another package to Harrogate!!

What should I do with the original? It's the wrong shape for a table mat? In all seriousness, I'm sure that someone on here will find a use.

Don't get it! Will the offset plate help lower existing set up ?? If so how much? Tim, can I see yours when it comes? Might be able to make copy!
