locostparts

Hi,
Just a quick test of the water regarding locostparts...net

I placed an order back in june for a Dedion/caliper brackets/pedals and few other bits and bobs..
They phoned back to say that they are not able to take orders for atleast another month due to a huge back log and a family wedding. I was totally understanding and left it for a month and a half.

I did the same, and placed the same order in early August, only to be phoned back to be told that the back log had not gone away, and they could not process my order, and advised to call back in a month or so to replace the order.

My question is this: who is managing to get their orders in ? everytime I try and place an order I'm told it can't be done..!?

What time delays have been experienced over the last 4 months for those people who have been able to get orders in..?

if this is the MNR company, i suspect they are fulfilling the people who are buying cars ahead of the people buying parts. Unfortunate but understandable & at least they are letting you know whats going on - some companies would just take your money and leave you hanging.

Locostparts.net is an arm of MNR. They work exceptionally hard so if they cannot take your order, rest assured they are very busy. Dissapointing though, isn't it?

hi tak

appologies we are just so busy our fabrication dept just does not have the time to make any custom parts at the moment and i cant see this changing anytime soon, hence why the buy feature on locost parts for fabricated components is disabled )

i would rather we told you up front rather than you ordering and paying then being disapointed with a long delay

appologies and best regards

marc

IF you where ordering non custom parts but still needed making (say, escort axle brackets) would these be subject to a similar delay?

(in other words i've been planning on ordering some for the last 2 weeks but haven't got round to it).
