Ordered Vortx RTIB
Ordered my Vortx recently using the insurance pay out from my last run out in my last L7 esk car, (hence the name). Cant wait for delivery in
November. However I must finish kitcar for my 4 year old first, Toylander Landrover, powered by electric wheelchair parts. (Not as quick but probably
harder to build than a full size one.)
Thanks to Mark, planning to use Mazda 1.8 engine & box plus diff from MX5 if it will fit.

Another one!! Marc's wife must be going nuts by now...!
Whereabouts are you based? Would be good to have a few more southern vortices....
A word of caution: Give *everything* off the engine to Marc when he sorts the chassis - I didn't and am having fun not fitting the twin carbs
and Sierra alternator (the Daihatsu one I got yesterday is miniscule in comparison).
Take a look at my blog for more details...
Cheers

Thanks for the welcome, to answer the questions:
Sorry I'm a northerner currently living in West Yorkshire.
Vince, your carb issue, if u need a bespoke inlet manifold I can recommend Bogg Bros in East Lutton near Scarborough, they made me a fine manifold for
my last car (R1 carbs to Pinto), certianly gave enough power to see off a Scuby before "wrecking the fence" curtacy of a female driver
pulling out in front of me.

Hi Dave,
Ahh well, I guess we'll meet at the owners club bash sometime! We're going to look at getting a manifold once we've got all the bits
in the garage, we'll probably try and make one first and see how it turns out. I've spent something approaching a fortune already
(it's been good fun bit-hunting though - several people on here have recommended Bogg's, so if we do get one made up we'll go to
them....
All the best with the build - when are you hoping to be on the road?
Cheers

I picked my kit up in May last year and it was on the road in January this year. That was working a couple of hours here and there during the week and
most weekends.
If I'd have planned things better instead of just pottering around in the garage going forwards and backwards then I'd have finished
quicker!!
