Fixing the tub to the chassis

what has everyone done about fixing their bodytub to the chassis? in the build manual it doesn't mention it, but it needs doing. have people just drilled, and rivited all along the underside, and then some in the top along where the bonnet goes, as you can put some stick foam over them where the bonnet sits?

I think most just use PU adhesive and maybe a few rivets where they are inconspicuous.

I'd second that.

For a couple of years now I have been using an adhesive from Evo-Stik called " Sticks like sh*t "

The best general adhesive i have ever used.

Very very strong bond, almost rubber like in it's flexability, Provides a first class barrier between steel and aluminium.

Available at all good builders merchants.

I drilled and tapped through the tube and used M5 bolts. The top is held on by bolts through the scuttle and nose cone.

I noticed that was missing from the manual but have put some thought to it. I have already fitted alloy brackets to the bottom of the chassis forward of the bulkhead in order to fit a full undertray using rubber nuts and aluminium bolts. It occured to me that as I will be bolting through the lower lip of the body on each side this will effectively solve both problems. I'll photo the brackets and post the photos so you can take a look if interested. PS I haven't yet worked out how to post photos except to the photo album so if anyone can tell me how I would really appreciate it!
