cycle wing brackets
My MNR cycle wings have worked loose. For those who are not familiar, there is a middle bit which bolts to the upright and there are two elbows that
fasten to the wing. These are all made in 19mm tube. The tubes join with a sleve tube.
I bolted my tubes together using bolts whose shank touched the tubes, rather than the thread. Over time (a few weeks) the holes have streched and the
wings are a bit loose.
I had a friend put a bit of weld on the joints as best he could without removing the wings from the car. The welds have all failed.
How can I fix these together without them coming lose again?

I, too have the MNR brackets. It was my intention to weld round the top & bottom of the joining tube prior to fitting & then re-paint.
Shouldn't be too dificult to do a decent weld whilst fitted, though.

I used Rivets ( short term to get possition right and through SVA.
The welded all the way round the connecting boss and re applied heat shrink ( or Electrical tape ).
Probable should get them re powder couted. but probably gong to swap to MNR front uprights when budget allows so will require new Cycle brackets.
