looks good.... less parking up for photo's, and more driving!!

ive got my SVA next monday.. cant wait to go out for a blast in it.

a few questions about yours:

is the steering wheel on a QR boss, or bolted on?
i thought MNR loaned people a sierra wheel, but they just handed me a pad to fit to my wheel like yours. i have a QR boss, and have read that people have been failed for using them, but i was speaking to a chap at the weekend who had his tested with the same steering wheel with a QR boss, and pad fitted, and it passed fine

Do you have any piccies of the padding you used around your clocks? my clocks are a bit more flush than yours as i cut a hole the shape of the clocks, and fitted them in from the back, but im unsure how much padding im going to need?

did you have your aeroscreen fitted for sva?

the foam near where you knees are. did you tie wrap it on, or is it just slotted on? ive fitted some to mine just the same, but im usure if im going to need to drill/tiewrap it into place?

Phew.. and lastly, did you use those mirrors for Sva?

Thanks

Good to meet you James good luck with getting yours on the road.

Clive if you need a hand let me know, if the weathers good i could pop down in the car.

Davey, yep i agree more driving less posing

Ok, the steering wheel on mine is QR and i just fitted the pad from mnr, some testers are ok with them some arn't.
i used it to count as a security device, if you have 2 others then maybe don't mention it's a QR

the clocks i just made up a piece of foam, got some small cieling tiles from BQ, stuck them together and then rounded the edges and stuck it on with sticky tape.

i didn't have the aerosrceen fitted for sva. i fitted that and the racetech mirrors (so i knew where to mount the mirrors as i wanted them to hold the aeroscreen on the edges) then removed them all and fitted the loan mirrors from mnr.

the foam for my knees is just the slotted plumbers stuff, it's not tie wrapped tight fit without.

and lastly good luck

Hi John, I might take you up on the offer, particularly with your body fitting experience! I'll keep an eye on the weather forecast and let you know nearer the weekend!

Hi John,

According to the Beeb it will be sunny Saturday and cloudy Sunday but no rain so it looks like we're on for the weekend. I'm going to try to get the last few jobs done this week so the body can go on Saturday but I'll confirm as soon as they are done, as if not we'll go for Sunday. Are you still up for it?

Hi John,

I think we are on for Saturday. I got the side panels on and the exhaust manifold off last night so just the seats to come out and the steering rack (or at least its arms) to come off and we're ready to go!

I've got a couple of car nut mates down the street who may be able to help but they'll cretainly want a demo ride in your MNR if you bring it! Me too!

What sort of time can you come 'round and for how long?

Yours, Clive.

Hi John,

Thanks again for helping out at the weekend (and for the demo ride). We certainly would have struggled without your advice and experience!
