Got my sprocked painted and fitted and i'm in the process of modifiying and mounting the starter. MK have changed the width of the tunnel, mine is 110mm inside of the tunnel chasis rails compared to the 99mm of yours. Because of this your brackets may need altering but it does leave plenty of room around the sprocket and tunnel sides.

Mine is all fitted and working Made up a little bracket to fit and even a cover for underneath. Works very well although it is a bit noisey.

It's cost me £214 for the sprocket and new starter motor. You can get cheaper used starters which are probably fine but virtually everything else on mine is new so i paid the extra. At £214 it's still £136 cheaper than MK.

Do you have the Part No. of the starter you used in the end, I've found loads and don't know which one to go for!

my fiend work as an cnc machinist if anyone would like a gear made for reversing systems. he made mine and its fitted.

Im just wondering how to wire the reverse up.. considering I have my switch located do i simply run wires to the starter soleniod or do I need a relay ???

I.e. if u simply connect + and - to soleniod will this then push the gear into working position and turn the motor ??

TIA Alan

Live from battery to large terminal on solenoid.
Another (smaller wire) from live on battery to spade connector on solenoid via switch, I would either use a 25amp rated switch, or fit a relay You need a fuse on this wire.
The earth will return from the starter mounting points

Nothing if you've already got registration... but the IVA man won't accept that as a reverse.
