MNR progress update

Hi all, a really happy moment for myself and the old man after a real busy christmas week we managed to get the MNR from the tressles to the floor. Its sitting a bit high but lets us raise it with both jacks easily. Lots left to do before we think about calling the vosa centre

Main thing being starting the engine as we have one last wiring gremlin to sort then its suspension setup the final fitment of everything else as most bits have been on the off again already.

One where it was a bit too low(before wishbones were flipped)

Cheers
Adam

Hoping for SVA as theres no reverse box(R1). We need to book before the end of feb to make SVA right? so hopefully still got 6-10 weeks if ended up being in March. If not it will roll there just to fail so we have the retry period still under sva.

Thats my mum - head tea, bacon sandwich and sweeper lady. Still not very impressed the bonnet, nose cone, arches and seats reside in the back room though
Thanks for the comments
Adam

With regards to rolling it in to SVA I heard that a car can fail and is then re-tested or just failed and has to have a full test again if it is deemed not complete. E.g. If they deem it not complete you won;t be eligible for the re-test period and would be subject to IVA

Don't know how true that is, have no personal experience of SVA but might be worth checking.

Looks very . Keep on at it and you'll soon be there. I hope you get the engine started soon, been following your troubles but can't really help.

Thanks again chaps

Progress has been really good of late as we know its got to get done but it is a lot of work doing a couple of hours on odd evenings and weekends when its been this cold.
As for the engine troubles we managed to sort our clutch which we think was just that the racked stem dislocated from the lever - atleast nothing was broken. But wiring side of things is troubling me and will have another bash at the weekend so fingers crossed.

It certainly looks good! Nice to see I'm not the only one managing with a single garage, and storing bodywork in the house!

Thanks guys, Definitely been cosey in the garage although its really not to bad untill the wishbones, uprights and wheels are on but then we can just roll in onto the drive. As for parts, i think we have one MNR related part in every room of the house

Were calling vosa at mitcham every week to see when the latest we can book it in under SVA as it looks as if were going to be right up tight to the deadline of what we believe to be Feb 29th(actually booking date).
