some pics- now i'm on the road

Thought i'd post some pics now i'm on the road.

I'm glad i didn't go for the quaiffe reverse this time round as i think it's transformed the car in a good way. ie no horrible extra transmission noise, plus i think it's a bit more nippy too
still not as fast as i'd like yet!
i've clocked up about 80 miles over the weekend
i think the X in vortx needs to be bigger

Hi there
I agree i don't like the new MNR nose,i prefer the traditional type.Fair due's to them though they are trying to brake the mold so to speak.
I also agree about the Quaiffe reversing box, took mine off and sold it,it now feels alot sharper on the throttle

Deffo Stu, hurry up with the kitchen!!

i did think the same about the new style nose, as on the old car i started off with the traditional nose.
but in the flesh the new nose is lovely
i think it will be a cult classic!!

glad it's not just me who thought the quaiffe was a pile o poo

for the r1, you get about 200 quid change from 4 grand for a turbo....also about 500hp though and a full rebuild

A great many cars look far better in the picture than in the flesh.

Having seen John's car in the person though I have to say it looks fantastic.

Personally I like the MNR nose too!

Cheers,
James

Hi John, took a break to go skiing but am back on the case. Got the suspension stripped off and the updated throttle pedal fitted so just a few smaller jobs (take seats out, fit footwell side panels, take off exhaust manifold and steering rack ends) before I fit the body. Weather permitting it might go on this weekend!
