hi, what version r1 are you running? sounds throatier than my whiny one.

Mine seems to max out about 90mph too.

Any probs with the oil breather/accusump etc as our poor fella mnr owner from overseas blew his engine first time out

from what I know of Steve's car it's a carbed
R1. No oil problems so far, and he does drive it!
Oil problems seem to be on the newer engines.
The carbed ones and the '02-'03 injection
seem to be better.
Engine was redesigned for '04 on.

Richard, if you're only getting 90, what diff do you have?

that's what i thought...........
it screams loads at 6000 revs on the koso in any gear and dont want to blow an engine.

it does need dyno'd when i can get a new job to pay for it..............

Hi Richard,
As George said, it's a 5JJ Carb'd. It does breathe very heavy, but I've had no surge problems.
Mines got 3.38 Diff, and pulls 1:1 in top gear, so my top end is around 115mph.
If you have a 3.14 you should be seeing a higher top end.

Steve
