ZX14 MNR gearbox issues - also spotted Bright orange MNR jct 24 M1

Hi all,

At the start of today i was well chuffed, finally got the zx14 engine swap complete and ready for the first road test.
The engine is so powerful and just spinning the wheels and going sideways

On my third test run i down changed and a mechanical crunch type noise came from the engine. An F1 alarm came up on the zx14 dash?
Now i cannot change gear? I assume something in the gear selector mechanism has gone wrong? Anybody had similar problems or got any ideas?

Thanks Gareth

Oh i seen a bright orange MNR at around jct 24 on the M1, If you were coming back from the sva station at 26 i hope you passed.

best fond out what this F1 warning is. i'd doubt the actual linkage has gone wrong, i think its refusing to change gear because of the warning. if you can find out whats giving the warning and get it reset

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

You need to find out the error/service code. Once you know that you will know the issue.

To get the service code for the FI error
1) Turn the Ignition Switch ON
2) Push the Mode and Reset Buttons for more than 2 seconds
The 2 digit service code should then be displayed:

I am looking up the service codes now
