Suspension Shock Lenghts??
Had a quick measure as my car seems very very low Especially the rear, i remember a while back marc said it was the front push rods and he replaced
them with longer ones!
My front push rods are wound quite far out and the suspension is wound to middle (hight/compression) setting. I have 12inch front shockers.
My rear suspension is wound a too high (fully compresssed) and the shockers are 12inchs long.
My car currently rides 95mm off floor at front(measured just after front suspension) and 105mm off the floor at the rear (measured just in front of
rear arches.
Opinions and sizes please!!
So far...
Colin and his MNR Rt (1 Chassis No after mine) his suspension is set at half and his car rides 5 1/2 inches off the floor, not sure on suspension
height but he has inboard suspension same as me.
And Coozers Mnr rides a lot lot higher than mine and his suspension is set low.

The front ride height is when the lower wishbones are parrallel to the ground. The rear ride height is 25mm higher than the front.
My ride height is 100mm at front with the wishbones parrallel to the ground and 125mm rear measured infront of rear arch.
I think your shock length's are correct from memory. If you have run out of adjustment could it be that your springs are either too short or
they are not stiff enough to support the weight of the car and comressing too much.

whn comparing with other cars, are all your wheels the same diameter?
the ride height on my car is going to be about 85-90mm, i don't think 95mm is too low really

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

I have been told that they should be 14inch long, but not from the manufacture as of yet.
I still think they are too short.
Im running 15inch wheels/tyres 195 50 15's (i think) with off set reccomended by MNR.
Oh and there are a few reasons why i think my car should be higher
1) Every MNR ive seen locally sits higher.
2) mine is adjusted as high as possible and is still very low and much lower that some ive seen.
3) my rear light units are fitted at a point on rear tub and arches where they point horizontal(as required for sva) but they are still 25mm too low
to meet SVA- but if i raise them on body work they point to sky so whole car needs to go up.
4) i might as well have fixed lenght shocks rather than adjustable ones because i would never be able to raise them and if i lowered them id rub
ground even more(it rubs bad enough on drive as it is and i have a nice smooth tarmac ramp- DDA Friendly)
5) If you put 2 people in car and drive it over a bump the wheels rub the arches.
6) Suspension is now rock hard as spring is compressed to its max.

MNR confirmed 12inch fronts, 14inch rears and thats measured hole center to hole center.
Checked- raised the car to allow droop, removed the wheels, measure hole centers and all suspension are fitted with as supplied 12inch shockers.
That will be why then.
