Engine transplant
How hard is it to change to a car engine on an MNR chassis designed for BEC.
From an R1 to an F20C.
Anything is possible, with the right knowledge and cash, but is it a very complex job to do ?
Anyone done it a similar transplant ?
thanks

MNR BEC chassis don't have a wide enough tunnel for a gearbox. Even converting my CEC MNR to BEC would involve cuttign tubes out the
chassis...
Chassis are not all the same I might add.

since there not all the same ( thanks coozer did'nt know MNR had different designs) think you should take photo's and measure the tunnel ,
worst cast you need to re-jig some tubes ! have you got the s2000 engine/box yet?

Sounds like too much work to me and a fresh chassis would be the easier option as the BEC are made with quite thin tunnels and cutting that out would
surely cause issues.

Was it something along the lines of "what would you want to do that for!" but not in those words

its not just the engine bay that would need mods the rear diff mounts also ,i would say a new chassis my self....also your body tub where the headers
come through are totally differant.lot of work involved just to change 03 /r1 to 07 /r1 that i am looking into
