one solved 2 gained!
have solved the starting problem on the R1 this evening. many thanks to ben, george and tim c for their help!
a cable had snapped of a spade connector on the fia battery switch and dissappeared up the scuttle.
got the engine started to find a small ammount of fuel dripping down from under side of the carbs on to engine, something and nothing i hope. i then
wheeled the car out of garage to find a puddle of brake fluid on the floor on drivers side rear. so tomorrow night i can start on sorting these. am
just glad the starting problem is solved. thanks again.

Yeah - took me a while but I figured that it was most likely. At least the car's second FIA master switch related issue didn't cause a
fire!
