Chassis plate??
Call me an idiot but my MOT will be due soonish and was wondering if there was a usuall place the chassis plate is put from or do they as i suspect
differ from build to build?

not needed for sva, so I haven't got one - yet.
just got stamped on chassis number.
Chassis plate is required for iva though iirc.

Aaaa right no wonder i cant find it then, its not there!!
So will it be stamped in somehwere then, just wondering before i look stupid at the MOT Station.

MOT tester has never looked for mine during the Indy's 3 tests.

VIN number is required as it appears on the test cert'. The tester find it from the chassis, V5 or an old cert'.
It's worth looking around for the VIN on the chassis just so you know where it is. Most likely on one of the tp chassis rails.

it was usually stamped on the alloy scuttle panel near the battery box

When i took my Ginetta the inspector said he could only find the chassis number in one place and that he could not carry out the test. Took it to
anther place and he one it no bother.
