tdo4

With a tdo4 you can rotate all three parts to what ever configuration you want and they are quit small so they spin up very quick.

td04 15g/16t - most volvo t5s have one or the other .

all 90 on 940 turbos have the 13c which isnt much good for high power , altho it does spool nicely .

my vote would be the Garrett gt28rs fast spool up and gives big power best of all worlds but td 04 would be fine

If you want to retain the engine as standard then 13c gets my vote, no point having high boost if the engine cannot trackle this

IHI RB52 from a fiat uno seems a popular choice for bike engines.

Subaru TD04's are upgraded very quickly on the Subaru's, so you can always find a low miles one just sitting around.

There was also a TD035 (read TD0 -3.5), that was fitted to the Subaru forester and that spools up even quicker (about 1500rpm).

Going bigger there is a TD05, available in different sizes, but the Subaru boys are after those too, so prices are higher.

Subaru also do a roller bearing series of 'VF 'Turbos, that fit exactly the same bolt pattern.

Expect to pay £40 for a good TD04.

Greenwood Racing Developments in Surrey usually have a lot of discarded TD04 units lying around.

These are working turbos that have been removed when people fit expensive hybrids.

Thats where I got mine.

with these 2 turbo units mentioned, would it possible to change the waste gate for something adjustable ?

anybody know their phisical dimensions ?

would they be good for a 6 cylindre honda engine (CBX) ?

(the rajay F40 was the best in the '80's)

thanks, dave

Its a 2001 Aero model with a forge wastegate, not adjustable but the springs can be changed.

Approx £85 bnib

Have a look here too Streetgear are popular with the Swedish saab tuners.

are the TD04 "suck" or "blow" turbos

(blow is where the carb is between the turbo & moter)

can anyone advise on a small car turbo with carb before the turbo (suck through) ??

thanks a lot,david
