Winter mods..

I'm on the brink of seeing if it will run....

I've replaced the carbs with TB@s and slapped a bit paint on.... wired up and ready to go, I think.

There will be more fruitless attempts to make the bodywork a bit neater but I'm not holding me breath on that one.... defo some different clocks and column shroud if I can figure out something nice, I have a nice vision in me head but transferring it to the car is not my scene and it revolves around a rather expensive Stack rev counter... I need a job first..

Anyway there are a few more pics on my blog below(MNR one).

Steve

Yep, the vvt is switched and oil pressure varies the system. When you accelerate the oil pressure goes up pushing the cam to full advance. When you back off the oil pressure drops retarding the cam. This gives you the variable system.

This graph is from a run on carbs hence the drop off at high revs. I'm hoping the TB's will smooth out the top end.
The vvt was switched at 3K here, look at the power and torque shoot up after the cam comes in...

i see, all the vct system ive looked into and that people were using were slimilar to yours they never seemed to get the most from the engines compared to the stock setup where it changes all the time depending on oil pressure, and that was on omex which is hundreds of pounds more!
