clearly 'salt and vinegar' is the correct answer.
Also clearly - 'salt and sauce' is another attempt by those of us who are from the North of Gretna to confuse and gain a psycholocolgical
advantage over those of us who hail from South of Gretna when purchasing Fish and Chips. This ploy is clearly doomed to fail as by starting this
thread we are now enlightened

You wouldn't neccesarily appreciate that salt and vinegar / Salt and sauce isn't a Scotland / England thing, it's an East - Vs -
West issue.

Well up the East Coast of Scotland (near aberdeen) it is Salt and Vinegar IMHO
Scot's do it better in Kilts.
