engine in with pics and concerns!
managed to just about get the engine and box in last night and mounted! slight concerns over the height still remain as it is 11" higher then
the uppre chassis rail at the front and just over 12" higer at the back of the motor! the bonnet could need some serious mods but am not sure on
height of bonnet at moment as am not collecting bodywork until next week! is 12" very high or relatively
normal?

dont know the mnr that well but 11/12" sounds quite a lot of height, how much ground clearance have you got? .m.

if mnr designed the chassis for your engine and all the mountings fit as they should then I guess it must be the correct height, just make sure you
fit some tall seats so you can see over it .m.

That looks 'Mahooooosive', I guess it all depends on how high your bonnet is and how high the top edge of the body is
My bonnet is approx 8.5" high on the front leading edge and about 9.5" just before the 'humps'
Good to see your build progressing

I'm CNCing the S2000 dry sump that I've been designing tomorrow, from billet aluminium. If ground clearance is an issue, I might be able
to supply you with a billet pan. It's going to be 38mm deep, windage trays, scraper, 2 scavenge.

I know the MNR bodywork is different to the Indy's, but from the top chassis rail to the highest point on the nosecone is about 9" and
from the top chassis rail to the scuttle is about 10". Do MNR do a bonnet with a bulge like the MK one?

I suggest you check this build and talk to pwl. His engine fit under the standard bonnet (I think it's the same engine...).

The MNR body work is taller than most if not all other 7 kits.
